For many years, Zambia has maintained its reputation as the a premier tourist destination in southern Africa. The country has some of Africa's most popular wildlife parks, and shares (with the neighboring Zimbabwe) several of the major attractions in the region: including the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River, Lower Zambezi National park as well as Lake Kariba.

Zambia Tours are popular among overlanders and budget tourists, although the country is quickly emerging as a premier luxury game safari destination in the southern Africa region. As a result property developers are busy putting up luxury lodges and tented camp facilities close by major private and national parks, such as  Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Kafue National Park and the North and South Luangwa National Park.

The dry winter months (May to September) are the best time to have a Zambia Safari. During this period the vegetation is thinner and animals tend to congregate around permanent water holes – allowing for very rewarding  game viewing adventures. On the other hand, the summer rainfall period (mid-November to mid-March) sees vegetation becoming lush and  greener. During this period animals disperse in the bush making game viewing adventures less rewarding.
