Tour Summary:
Places to visit: Arusha, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. This is an adventure camping safari that recaptures the original safari spirit. You will see Tanzania’s best at a relatively relaxed pace. You start at Ngorongoro Crater, which supports a year round resident population of a variety of wildlife. It is an attraction in its own right and is one of the wonders of the natural world. You then head to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions and is also an ornithologists’ paradise. Your stay is under tents throughout.

Itinerary:
Day 1: ARUSHA/ LAKE MANYARA
The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 1230hrs. At 1400hrs, drive to Lake Manyara.
Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge.
Day 2: LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its breathtaking show of flamingos, also hosts the very rare tree-climbing lions. This is the only other location in the world where you can encounter these elusive lions. Add the over 400 species of birds, Big Five, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelle, hippo, giraffe, impala among others and this 330 sq. km park is a game lover and birdwatchers’ paradise.
After the morning game drive Lunch will be served at the lodge. Then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 3: NGORONGORO
After breakfast, collect picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro crater. This area’s main attraction is the Ngorongoro Crater, fondly known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”. A candidate for the new seven wonders of the world, this massive crater holds its own in that category. Being the world’s largest unbroken caldera, Ngorongoro is home to over 25,000 animals. It is considered one of the best game viewing spots in the world with a chance to see the big five, zebras and wildebeests. The crater holds almost every individual species of wildlife in East Africa including the extremely rare and critically endangered Black Rhino.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 4: NGORONGORO / ARUSHA
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Arusha town.

The above prices are based on a minimum of 2 persons. A price reduction is available for numbers above two persons. Six persons may enjoy up to 25% saving on the per person rate!
When arranging for your international air tickets, note that it is usually cheaper to disembark at Nairobi in Kenya. You then take a shuttle bus to Arusha at a cost of US$ 20. This shuttle bus leaves at 0800 and 1400 hrs daily from either Nairobi or Arusha. The drive takes 5 hours. If you wish to make use of this option, please indicate so.
