Itinerary:
DAY 1 : ABIJATA - SHALLA NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from your hotel and drive to the scenic beauties of the Rift valley lakes – Ziway then to Abijata - shalla national park located in the oromia region, (one of the best bird watchers spot) then proceed to Langano watching the birds.
Over 400 bird species have been recorded here. The islands in Lake Shalla are known to be a real birds paradise, the birds fly to Lake Abijatta to feed. Besides the rich Bird life, some mammals can also be spotted at the Lake Abijatta-Shalla National Park, such Grant’s gazelle, Golden Jackal and Oribi warthog
Dinner and overnight at Pina hotel Awassa.
DAY 2 : ARBA MINCH
After an early Morning Breakfast, you will visit the fish market and then drive to Arba Minch. You will the take a boat trip on Lake Chamo to “the bridge of heaven” and “crocodile market” where you will spot the hippos and crocodiles.

DAY 3 : NECH SAR NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, depart for game viewing at Nech sar national park, and later drive to konso to visit the konso village and its inhabitants.
Nech Sar National Park is situated near Arba Minch, Amid two Rift Valley lakes ( Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo) . It has extensive plains of game wandering on its large extensive savannah, dry bush and groundwater forests.
Animals found in Nech Sar National Park include Greater Kudu, Swayne’s Hartebeest, Bushbuck, Jackal, Guenther’s Dik-dik, Honey badger, Grey Duiker, Serval-cat, Burchel’s Zebra, Waterbuck, Vervet Monkey, Olive-Baboon, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Gureza-coloubs, Spotted Hyena, Grant’s gazelle and Wild dog. Over 189 species of birds have also been recorded here.
Dinner and overnight at a camp or drive back to Arba Minch (Bekele Molla hotel)
DAY 4 :
On this day you will drive to Chencha to visit the Dorze people where you will have a chance to see their giant bee hive like houses and their beautiful shemmas (Togo’s) and then proceed to wendo Genet .
Dinner and over night at Wabi Shebele hotel.
DAY 5 : WENDO GENET FOREST
After breakfast drive to wendo genet forest, where you will enjoy wildlife viewing, hot natural spring baths , bird watching and hiking the forest and later drive to Langano. Wendo genet forest is a home to wide variety of bird species, colobus and velvet monkeys.
Dinner and over night at Bekele Molla hotel
DAY 6 : LANGANO – ADDIS ABABA
On this last day the Morning will be spent at Langano at leisure : you can either enjoy swimming, take a walk or relax at the hotel and later drive back to Addis Ababa.
