This package is designed for travelers who want to visit the northern historical attractions and cover all the important sites but have minimal time. The tour will begin in Addis Ababa then proceed to Bahir Dar, Gondar, Simien Mountains National Park, Axum and lastly Lalibela.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
On arrival at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, you will be met by Africa Point representative and transferred to the Sheraton Hotel for check in and relaxation. If the flight arrives early enough you can spend some time to have city sights before having dinner at your booked hotel
Dinner and Over night at Wassamar/Jupiter Hotel or Similar
Day 2 : Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar
After breakfast, take a morning flight to Bahir Dar. On arrival you will visit the Blue Nile Falls before proceeding for lunch. After lunch and relaxation, have a boat trip on Ethiopia’s largest water body - Lake Tana (3,600 Km Sq) where you will visit the island monasteries of Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Mariam.
Dinner and over night at Abay Minch Lodge or similar in Bahir Dar.
Day 3 : Bahir Dar - Gondar
After breakfast drive from Bahir Dar to Gondar. After Lunch visit the royal enclosure Compound of Gondar, the ‘Bath of Emperor Fasiladas’, the church of Quskuam Mariam, the residence of Empress Mintwab, and the church of Debre Birhan Sillassie which is famous for its wall and ceiling paintings.
Dinner and over night at Goha /Taye or similar Hotel
Day 4 : Gondar – Simien Mountains National Park
After an early breakfast, drive from Gondar to Debark (the headquarter of the Simien Mountain National Park), on arrival at Debark drive 36 km farther to the Simien Mountains to visit the endemic mammal of Ethiopia - the Gelada Baboon, and the breathtaking scenery of the Simien Mountains.
Dinner and over night at at Simien Lodge Or Giant Lobelia (Simien park hotel)
Day 5 : Simien Mountains National Park – Axum
After breakfast you will check out from your hotel and drive to Axum - the earliest Capital of Ethiopia, crossing the Tekezze Gorge. Picnic Lunch en route before arriving at Axum later in the evening.
Dinner and Over night at Remhai Hotel or similar
Day 6 : Axum
After breakfast, Have a sightseeing tour of Axum which includes visiting the Archaeological museum of Axum, the famous stele park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the church of St. Mary of Zion which is believed to be the last resting place of the original Ark of the Covenant, the palace and tomb of King Kaleb and Gebre Meskel (6th Century AD), and the ruin palace of the Queen of Sheba (9thCentury BC).
Dinner and Over night at Remhai Hotel or similar
Day 7 : Axum – Lalibela
After breakfast catch the morning flight to Lalibela – which is the home of the 12th century AD rock hewn churches of King Lalibela. In the afternoon, visit the second and the third group of churches of King Lalibela.
Over night in Jerusalem or similar Hotel
Day 8 : Lalibela
After Breakfast, start the day by having mule back ride to the hill top semi monolithic church of Asheton Mariam. Reaching the top of the hill will give you one of the best scenery view of the area. In the afternoon, visit the remaining second and the third group of the churches of Lalibela.
Over night in Jerusalem or similar Hotel
Day 9 : Lalibela – Addis Ababa / Departure
In the morning, catch a flight back to Addis Ababa. On arrival you will have a half day city tour of Addis Ababa which includes a visit to the National Archeological Museum of Addis Ababa, Mercato - the largest open-air market in Africa, and later drive to Mt. Entoto (3,200 meters) to have a panoramic view of the capital. In the evening, Africa Point representatives invites you to enjoy a fare well dinner party at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis Ababa to see the folkloric dances of the Ethiopian people and to taste the variety of meals of the Ethiopian people. Drop off at the airport to catch your flight back home or at your hotel
