Itinerary: Day 01: ACCRA
Upon arrival in Accra, Ghana. You will be transferred from the airport to your hotel by an Africa Point representatives. Attend orientation on your tour program and thereafter, check-into your hotel and relax. Overnight at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra

Day 02: ACCRA CITY TOUR
Breakfast at your hjotel is follwed by a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the economic districts of this cosmopolitan city which has been the capital city of Ghana since 1877. This city has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Independence / Black Star Square and W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture. Continue to the famous Ga coffin maker’s shop, where coffins are made to highlight a person’s affiliation or profession. Visit the Centre for National Arts and Culture where you will admire a great assortment of arts and crafts from across West Africa and have the opportunity to shop from the open-air market.

Day 03: CASTLES AND SLAVE DUNGEONS TOUR
After breakfast, depart for a scenic drive along the Atlantic Ocean to Cape Coast where you will tour the infamous Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. Visit the Cape Coast Castle for a real touch of slave history. Built by the Swedes and later controlled by the British, this castle also accommodates the West African Historical Museum which was established in 1994. You will have the opportunity to watch a documentary dubbed: “Cross roads of people, Cross roads of trades”. This Castle was visited by the first African-American President of the United States of America, Barrack H. Obama in July 2009.
Continue to visit Elmina Castle for another nostalgia evoking slave trade story. Also known as St. George Castle, Elmina castle was built by the Portuguese in 1482. It was the first and largest European structure to be built in Sub-Saharan Africa. The beautiful harbour below the castle offers a great picturesque scene.

Day 04: KAKUM NATIONAL PARK & ASSIN MANSO SLAVE RIVER
Take a morning drive through the historic Denkyira Kingdom to Kakum National Park, a unique tropical rainforest. Kakum is a splendid summary of tropical biodiversity. You will have the opportunity to see breathtaking views of the semi-deciduous rain forest as you walk on the famous Canopy Walkway. This Canopy Walkway is made up of seven bridges extending 330m and hangs 40m above the forest floor.

Later drive through a former slave route to Assin Manso, the site of the Slave River. This was the final transit point and place of last bath for enslaved Africans before arriving at the dungeons for forced shipment into the New World. The site is also the final resting place for two ancestors whose mortal remains were returned from USA and Jamaica and re-interred. Continue the drive to Kumasi for your overnight.

Day 05: TAMALE CRAFT SHOPPING
Depart Kumasi for a morning drive through the guinea savanna eco-system to Tamale, the modern capital of the Dagomba State. After lunch in a local Ghanaian restaurant, visit the Center for National Culture for a splendid cultural shopping. You will marvel at the traditional technique used in the production of smocks (fugu). Explore the numerous grand mosques and unique traditional pastoral mosques that depict the dominant religious tradition in this area.

Day 06: SALAGA SLAVE MARKET & SLAVE WELLS
After breakfast, depart for a scenic drive to Salaga, which was the chief Trans-Saharan Slave Market in Northern Ghana. You will be awestruck by the beauty of rural architecture that bears eloquent testimony to Ghanaian rural grandeur. Take a nostalgia evoking visit to the slave market center and see the kind of treatment the strained guiltless migrants were made to go through. Do not forget to touch the ’baobab tree of strap’ for a memorable camera pose. You will visit the ’wonkan bawa’ (slave water). There are also remnants of wells that were used by the high population of Salaga.

Day 07: KINTAMPO WATERFALLS
Depart Tamale for a morning drive to Kumasi. En route, stop at Kintampo, the geographic centre of Ghana where you will visit the Kintampo Waterfalls to marvel at the beauty of nature and experience a serene atmosphere created by the falls. You can also visit the archaeological site of Kintampo, where civilization is believed to have existed between 2500BCE and 1400BCE. It is also the earliest known site for the cultivation of the cowpea. Continue to Kumasi for dinner and overnight at Sunset Hotel

Day 08:KUMASI CITY TOUR
Check out after breakfast to tour royal heritage of the famous Asante Empire. You will visit Manhyia Palace Museum, to obtain in-depth information on the Ashanti kingdom. A royal history that dates back to the 18th century is told with real touch. Also to visit is the National Cultural Center which houses the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum. You will have the opportunity to drive through Kadjetia Market which is the largest open-air market in West Africa. Later depart Kumasi for Accra.

Day 09:DAY AT LEISURE/SHOPPING
Spend the morning at leisure, and you might want to do some shopping shopping- some of the popular shopping venues in Accra include the Accra Mall- a one-stop ultra modern shopping emporium with banks, restaurants and other services under one roof, Oxford Street- also referred to as the tourist street with shops for textiles and crafts as well as banks for the delight of the visitor, Centre for National Arts and Culture- an open air market for artifacts from Ghana and other West African countries, Diamond House-a great place for authentic jewelries. Day 10: DEPARTURE
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for check-in for final departure back home.
