Day 1- Addis Ababa
Arrive Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and transfer to Ghion hotel.
Day 2- Bale Goba
After an early breakfast drive to Bale Mountains via Arsi. En route, visit the fertile farm land of Arsi and the beautiful scenery of Adaba-Dodola road. Overnight Goba Wabishebele hotel.
Day 3- Goba
A day excursion to Sof Omar Cave which is used for Muslim Shrine.
Day 4. Goba
Morning drive to Senete Plateau for endemic plant (Giant Lobelia & heath) and mammal (Semien Fox). Afternoon, drive to Dinsho for endemic mammals like mountain Nyala, Menelik Bush Back, etc & birds like Roget?s Rail, Wattled Ibis, etc. Overnight Wabishebele hotel.
Day 5. Genale
After an early breakfast drive to Genale via Dolomena forest. The road to Genale is very rough but the landscape & forest is breathtaking. Overnight local hotel/camping.
Day 6- Negele Borena
Morning continue driving to Negele Borena (50kms but the road is so rough). Overnight local hotel/ camping.
Day 7- Yabello
After an early breakfast drive to Yabello. On this day visit the Elsod where the local people extract salt. Overnight - local hotel.
Day 8- Yabello
On this day visit the Yabello Sanctuary for Swayne?s Hartebeest and visit the Borena Oromo Villages. Overnight local hotel.
Day 9- Konso
Morning drive to Konso. Afternoon, visit the Konso villages for their famous Totems (grave markers), land terrace and unique houses. Overnight local hotel/ camping.
Day 10- Turmi
After an early breakfast drive to Turmi. En route, visit the villages of Woito, Erbore and Hammer tribes. Overnight camping.
Day 11- Murllie
Continue driving to Murllie to visit the Karo tribe. Overnight camping at Murllie near by Omo River that flows to Lake Turkana.
Day 12- Mago National Park
After an early breakfast drive through Mago National Park for game viewing. The same day visit the village of Mursi. The Mursi are well known for the large clay discs that the women wear, inserted in their slit lower lips. Mursi men wear very little, although a cotton wrap is becoming more and more common. Overnight camping at Mago NP
Day 13- Arbaminch
Drive to Arbaminch via Jinka. En route visit the Ari, Benna and Tsemay villages. Overnight Bekele Molla hotel.
Day 14- Arbaminch
Morning drive to Nech Sar National Park for game viewing & birding. Afternoon, boat trip on lake Chamo for crocodiles, hippos & aquatic bird species. Overnight Bekele Molla hotel.
Day 15- Addis Ababa/ Departure
After an early breakfast drive to Addis Ababa through the villages of Wolayita, Sidama and Oromo people. After dinner party night departure.
