Tour Package
Summary:
This package includes your stay in Mauritius for 7 nights/8
days at the Marina Hotel & Resort on the North Coast,
plus two full days tours. On the first excursion you
discover Port Louis -the capital and the Pamplemousses
Gardens. These world famous gardens date back to 1735,
and have a large collection of exotic and indigenous
plants. At Port Louis, you appreciate first hand the
cosmopolitan mix in the Mauritian lifestyle. The second
tour takes you to Ile aux Cerfs on the East coast. You
spend a whole day at leisure at this tiny island, which
has been dubbed a miniature Garden of Eden.
Program
Day 1- Port Louis
Arrive at Port Louis airport where you will be met and
assisted by our representative. Transfer to your hotel
- the Marina Hotel & Resort on the North Coast.
You are booked at this hotel on half board basis- breakfast
and one other meal.
Day 2- 7 Marina Hotel & Resort
The Marina Hotel & Resort, is a new beach resort
hotel, situated at Anse La Raie on the North Coast of
Mauritius, at only 5 minutes drive from bustling Grand
Bay and 30 minutes from the capital- Port Louis.
Accommodation is in 26 bungalow rooms
and 96 cascade rooms, 20 of which are interconnected
rooms. There are also 4 family units and 2 rooms for
handicapped persons. All rooms are comfortably furnished
and have terrace or balcony, twin or double beds, private
shower or bath, WC, TV/Video channels, music, mini bar,
tea making facilities, individual safe, hair dryer,
electric shaver point, IDD telephone and air-conditioning.
Amenities include an exotic cocktail
bar situated on the poolside, restaurants and cafes.
Water sports available include sailing, kayaking, windsurfing,
and snorkeling. Other facilities include 2-tennis courts,
beach volley, table tennis, pool billiard, mini golf,
French bowling, equipped fitness room, Jacuzzi, karaoke,
darts, carom and other social games.

Thursday: Port Louis, the Capital
& Pamplemousses Gardens
This excursion will allow you to discover the cosmopolitan
mix in the Mauritian lifestyle. You also visit one of
the most beautiful gardens of the world, which is the
Royal Botanical Gardens of Pamplemousses.
09.00 hrs - Leave hotel for the capital - Port Louis.
09.30-10.00 hrs - Start the tour of the city to discover
the places of worship: Pagoda, mosque, cathedral and
historical places: Champ de Mars, our Actual horse track,
The Citadel, a British fortification, the Parliament
and other important buildings.
11.15-12.30 hrs - Shopping time in the typical market
called "Bazarre" on the island and at the
modern commercial centre, Le Caudan Waterfront. You
can choose from the variety of local craft products
at the craft market and at duty free shops.
12.30-14.00 hrs - Lunch is optional and can be pre-booked
or at leisure in the various restaurants at the Caudan
Waterfront.
14.15 hrs - Leave the capital for the botanical gardens.
On the way, you will visit the oldest Tamil temple newly
renovated with its multitudes of colours and structures
from Madras.
15.00 hrs - Stroll in the oldest and finest botanical
gardens of the world, with many rare species of plants
in spectacular bloom. Established in 1735, this 60-acre
garden boasts 500 different species of plants, of which
80 are palms. Of particular interest are the giant water
lilies (Victoria Regia), a spice garden, and the Talipot
Palms, said to bloom once every 60 years after which
they die.
16.00 hrs -Leave the botanical gardens.
16.30-17.00 hrs - Back at the hotel.
Saturday: Ile aux Cerfs
This excursion takes you to Ile aux Cerfs on the East
coast. You spend the whole day at leisure at this tiny
island, which has been dubbed a miniature Garden of
Eden. The beach and lagoon offers opportunities for
water sports, swimming and sunbathing. There are also
good restaurants and stalls where you can shop for souvenirs.
At the boathouse, you can hire skis, pedalos, sailboards,
surf cats, laser dinghies and canoes.
9.00 hrs- Leave your hotel for Pointe
Maurice Jetty in the village of Trou d'Eau Douce.
10.00 hrs- Arrival at the jetty for a boat trip of about
10 to 15 minutes depending on the tides, to Ile aux
Cerfs. Fine golden sand, clear turquoise water, an emerald
lagoon is await you to spend the whole day. Lunch is
optional and can be pre-booked or at leisure at the
various restaurants.
15.30 -16.00 hrs- Leave the Island.
16.30-17.00 hrs- Arrive back at your hotel.
Day 8- Fly Home
After breakfast at your hotel, be ready to transfer
to airport at Port Louis for your flight back home.
