Summary:
This is a 13-day luxury safari will take you to all the best places to see East Africa's big cats. You traverse through some of Kenya and Tanzania's best game parks, with a chance to see East Africa's rich wildlife and cultural heritage. Your safari takes you to Amboseli, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Aberdares, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara. Remember that between Kenya and Tanzania you have the most diverse and abundant wildlife in the whole of Africa. The spectacular scenery and varied ecosystems are a bonus worth mentioning.

PROGRAM
Day 1: FLIGHT - NAIROBI
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by Africa Point staff and transferred to the Nairobi Safari Club. Dinner on your own arrangements.

Day2: NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA
After breakfast 0800 hrs drive through the floor of the Rift Valley via the Maasai town of Narok to arrive at Kenya's most populous park, the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch at the Mara Serena Lodge, Masai Mara.

1500 hrs -an afternoon game-drive in the game reserve, which is Kenya's finest wildlife Sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

Day 3: MAASAI MARA
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara.

Day 4: MAASAI MARA - LAKE NAKURU
0830 HRS- After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru with a game drive enroute. Arrive in Lake Nakuru National park in time for lunch. Lunch at Lion Hill lodge.

1530 hrs -afternoon game drive. This is a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinocerous and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as and the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge

Day 5: LAKE NAKURU - ABERDARES
Breakfast at Lake Nakuru National Park. Depart after breakfast for Mt Lodge, one of 4 of Kenya's Tree Hotels. Lunch is at the Lodge. Afternoon of game watching from the comfort of your room, or bar or restaurant. Before you reach the lodge it is advisable to have a stop to admire the 73m plunge of the Thompson Falls named after the Scottish explorer who first saw them in the late 1800s.

Day 6: ABERDARES - NAIROBI - AMBOSELI
0800 hrs- you are picked up after breakfast, drive to Nairobi for lunch at the Thorn Tree Restaurant. You then proceed south to Amboseli National Park and check in at Amboseli Sopa Lodge at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain.

Day 7: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
0630 hrs early morning game drive. Breakfast at the lodge. Morning at leisure. Lunch at the Lodge. 1500 hrs Afternoon game drive. The snows of the mountain forms a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the Park.

Day 8: AMBOSELI - ARUSHA - LAKE MANYARA
Breakfast at the hotel. O8OO hrs- you will be picked up for drive across the border into Tanzania and drive to Arusha town to arrive in time for lunch.

1400 hrs -after lunch proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. With a game drive enroute to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Birdlife in the park is very broad. The home of tree-climbing lion, the park is also home to giraffes, hippo, zebra, and buffalo.

Day 9: LAKE MANYARA - SERENGETI
Breakfast at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. 0830 hrs Depart, with a game drive enroute, for the vast Serengeti National Park.
1300 hrs Lunch at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.
1500 hrs Depart for the afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Day 10: SERENGETI
0630 hrs- early morning game drive. Breakfast at the lodge Morning at leisure.
1230 hrs- lunch at the Serengeti Serena Lodge.
1500 hrs -afternoon game drive. Serengeti is Africa's largest national park and also one of its most popular. The park has an incredible number of animals, wildebeeste being the most populous followed by zebra. Elephants are notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big cats are regularly sighted in the plains. The few remaining endangered black rhino are restricted to the Moru Koppies area. The park is also famous for the wildebeeste migration, often described as one of the most impressive spectacle in the natural world. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a game drive.

Day 11: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO
After breakfast, drive with game drive enroute to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. 1500 hrs afternoon game drive.

Day 12: NGORONGORO
Early breakfast After breakfast descend into the crater for with picnic lunches for a full day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater, is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. The Olduvai Gorge in the neighborhood is the site where some off Africa's oldest hominid fossils were found. The Crater has one of the densest predators populations in Africa. Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and a host of other resident animals are to be found here. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 13: NGORONGORO - ARUSHA -NAIROBI
Breakfast at your lodge.
0830 hrs -you will drive back to arrive in Arusha in time for lunch. Continue to Nairobi. Dinner is at the Carnivore Restaurant. This restaurant is famous for its succulent steaks as welcome or farewell dinner. Later you will be transferred by Africa Point staff to the Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight home.
