Tour Summary:
In this 6 nights/7 days tour, start by exploring Cape Town
and the Cape
Peninsula: City tour, Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Hout
Bay &
Sea Point. Then depart from Cape Town for Port Elizabeth through
the
Garden Route. This is probably the most scenic journey you
will ever make.
Soaring cliffs, wide beaches, semi desert,
rocky coves, rain forests,
tranquil lakes and rugged mountains. At Port Elizabeth, visit
the Addo
National Park, home to the densest population of elephant
in the world
and a unique place in the struggle to conserve the African
elephant.
Program:
Day 1:
=====
This morning half-day tour takes you directly to the cableway
and up the famous Table Mountain while your guide explains
the
varying flora & fauna. You are then taken on a city tour,
which
includes a visit to the Malay Quarter.
Visit the Castle of Good Hope before driving
through to Milnerton for
a spectacular view of Table Mountain and the city. En route
back to your
hotel you will visit the Cape Town Diamond Works.
Please note: Ticket for cableway is NOT included as the mountain
visit is weather permitting.

Day 2:

At first you visit the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
before traveling along the coast to the Cape of Good Hope
Nature
Reserve. You board the Funicular (optional) to reach the hillcrest.
After lunch (not included), continue for a visit to a penguin
colony.
You return via Chapman's Peak, Hout Bay, with
a short stop at the
harbour, Sea Point and the city. Please note: The drive via
Chapman's Peak is subject to the road being open, alternatively
you drive via Ou Kaapse Weg.

DAY 3:

Depart Cape Town and head over Du Toits Kloof Pass to
Worcester. Visit Kleinpassie Museum, continue via the R62,
through
Robertson and Montagu. Experience the semi-desert areas of
the 'Klein
Karoo' and visit the towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp before
arriving in
Oudtshoorn.
Dinner/Bed/Breakfast: Hlangana Lodge or similar
DAY 4:

After breakfast, visit the famous Cango Caves. Time permitting
you visit the Crocodile and Cheetah Ranch (optional). Continue
to an
Ostrich Farm for a guided tour. Continue over the Robinson
Pass
covered in Fynbos vegetation to Mossel Bay and visit the old
'Post
Office Tree'.
Dinner/Bed/Breakfast: Belvidere Manor or similar
DAY 5:

After breakfast you have a choice of a number of activities
in
and around Knysna as you discover the area. Enjoy spectacular
views
across the lagoon. Afternoon in Knysna or at leisure

DAY 6:

Departing Knysna with its magnificent lagoon, head for the
Garden of Eden and Plettenberg Bay. After a short
break, travel
through the Groot Rivier and Bloukrans Passes to the magnificent
forests of Tsitsikamma. Continue to Port Elizabeth, the Friendly
City.

Day 7:
=====
Depart Port Elizabeth for the Addo National Park, a unique
place in the story of the struggle to conserve the African
elephant.
It is home to the densest population of elephant in the world.
You
have wonderful opportunities to enjoy close encounters with
the
once persecuted Addo elephant.
You will also see other mammals such as the
endangered Cape buffalo
and black rhino, as well as zebra, jackal, warthog, suricate,
and
numerous species of antelope, such as kudu, red hartebeest
and
bushbuck. Drop off at Port Elizabeth Airport for flight back
to Cape Town.
