Treetops Hotel is located in the Aberdare National Park, overlooking a water hole and salt lick that provide visitors with rewarding wildlife viewing opportunities.
Treetops is the historic hotel where young Prince Elizabeth became queen in 1952 when her father, King George VI, died in his sleep. The hotel is situated 179 km from Nairobi, 17 km from Outspan in Nyeri and 7 km from Mweiga airstrip.
ACCOMMODATION
Treetops Hotel has four decks and a roof top viewing platform. The accommodation at the hotel comprises of 50 rooms as follows: 43 standard twin rooms,5 standard triple rooms and 2 suites
Guests to the Treetops Hotel check in at Outspan from where they are transferred to Treetops at 2.30 pm. They are required to carry an overnight travel bag and leave their suitcases at Outspan luggage store.
*Apart from the suites, standard rooms have communal shared bathrooms 2 sets of bathrooms on every floor.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Guests to the Treetops hotel must pay park fee to Kenya Wildlife Service either at the head office in Lang’ata, Nairobi or Mweiga in Nyeri.

CHECK IN TIME / CHECK OUT TIME
Check in time at hotels is 1100hrs.
Early check in will be charged at extra night.
Late arrivals should be advised in advance to avoid auto cancellation of the reservation.
In case check in is delayed than the expected arrival date, the delay will be treated as no show.
Check out time is at 1000hrs.
Day room use can be arranged at extra fee and is applicable from 1000hrs to 1800hrs.
Room use after 1800hrs will be charged at full night rate.

ENVIRONMENT
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Treetops is on an initiative dubbed “Return the Bush”. The initiative involves the rehabilitation of the Salient Area which is (152km2) 125 Ha of Aberdare National Park an area that has been degraded by the toll the fenced in Elephant population has exerted on the ecosystem. The project 1st phase span is 5 years and was started in 2007with 1.5 Km fence.
