The camp lies North East of Serengeti, near Lobo, about 45 kms from Central Serengeti, 390kms (8-10 hours drive) from Arusha on dry weather road , 60 minutes flight from Arusha Airport to Seronera Airstrip and a further 90 minutes drive to the camp.

Mbuzi Mawe consnsists of 16 superbly luxurious tents each with ceiling fans, 2 queen beds, mosquito nets and hair dryers and are accessible for the disabled. A bar and boutique are fashioned from rope-lashed hardwoods to the rear of the lounge a and beyond them a rock-hewn stairway leads to a classically styled dining tent with views over the sun-blazed plains.
