La Résidence des Cascades Golf Resort and Thalasso Center is located within Soma Bay, on the highest point of the Soma Bay peninsula, amidst The Cascades Golf & Country Club, Soma Bay’s sporting and social focal point.
Its main attraction is the stunning championship golf course, designed by Gary Player, combining the best of links and desert courses. The Hotel also houses Les Thermes Marins des Cascades, a Spa and one of the largest and best equipped thalasso-therapy centers in the world, operated in cooperation with Les Thermes Marins de Saint-Malo of France.
Rooms and Amenities
La Residence des Cascades has 210 guest rooms plus 39 luxurious suites, all with views of the sea and the Cascades Championship Golf Course. All rooms come with a large bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. Standard amenities include a private balcony, satellite TV, mini-bar, mini-safe, air-conditioning, electronic door locks and easy access to the Internet. A limited number of rooms are equipped for handicap use. La Residence also offers a number of luxurious one and two bedroom suites with spectacular views of the Cascades Golf Course and the sea. Most suites can be combined with a connecting room to form two or three bedroom apartment complexes.
Dining and Entertainment: Les Thermes Marins des Cascades. Dunes offers indoor and outdoor terrace dining with panoramic views of the golf course and sea while L’Albatros features fine dining in an intimate atmosphere.Spikes Bar situated just off the 18th green on the pool deck,is ideally positioned for a refreshing, cool drink. The Gallery is an intimate clubhouse lounge with panoramic views; The Eagle’s Nest on the top flooris a British style pub named after the many sea eagles that can be seen on the eastern coast of Soma Bay.Layali is where an after-dinner evening is spent in arabesque style under the starlit skies of the Red Sea. |

Leisure and Recreation- A dramatic golf course which combines the best of links and desert features. Adjacent to the course, is a 9 hole, par 3 Golf Academy Course, also designed by Gary Player.
- Les Thermes Marins des Cascades Spa & Thalasso Center: whose highlights of the facilities and treatments include an 800 m2 Aquatonic Pool, fitness and nutrition programs, a variety of hydrotherapy treatments, in addition to seaweed wraps, underwater massages, “sea mist” room, beauty care and post-natal recuperation programs
- Diving: Snorkeling:Soma Bay offers more for everyone - from beginner to advanced diver. Soma Bay’s Dive Center, run by Emperor Divers, is the largest on the Red Sea and serves all of the resorts within Soma Bay from its privileged location on the House Reef.
- The beach, a short distance from the Resort, known as Bay Point, is easily one of the most beautiful on the Red Sea.
- La Residence features a Racquet Club with 4 clay tennis courts, lit for evening play and 2 squash courts. Resident professional trainers are available. The Fitness Center includes a gym featuring panoramic windows overlooking the fresh water lap pool and is equipped with a wide variety of aerobic and strength training equipment, large changing rooms with individual lockers, showers, saunas and steam rooms. |
