Testimonials from other Africapoint clients
"The whole of our dealings with Africa Point were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable...The hotels booked for us, The Nairobi Safari Club and the Mara Simba, were superb. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our stay... we would definitely use Africa Point again and would have no hesitation in recommending you to others."

| Description: |
Jannat House is situated in the heart of the Old Lamu Stone Town. This small hotel is steeped in history, having been owned by the famous Muawiya family, descendant from the uncle of the Prophet Muhammed. For many years the house was a private guest house for family and friends before being commercialized

| Recreation: |
Jannat House has 17 rooms, 5 terraces, an ‘a la carte’ restaurant and a small salt-water pool in an interior courtyard with a bar. Rooms are tastefully furnished with African/Arabic antiques.
Restaurant meals are influenced by the Swahili flavour, characterized by coconut milk and Arabic spices. The restaurant maintains a smart-casual dress code for dinner. A la carte and barbecue dinners are also served. Some rooms have been recently renovated and are small but of higher standard than the old rooms. Some rooms are self contained, others share bathrooms.
The hotel has no air-condition nor glass windows, as the soothing wind from the Indian ocean is quite effective. There are cold and warm water - no hot water available. There is no TV or telephones in the rooms, which all together contributes to the calm environment although the hotel telephone could be used for a fee. There is also a safe available in the office at no extra charge.
