Gibb’s Farm is strategically situated at Karatu, thus making it an good base for safaris to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Mayara and Serengeti National Park.
Ranked among the oldest guesthouses in Northern Tanzania, Gibbs Farm was constructed by German settlers in 1929 and has remained an inviting, well-cared-for-guesthouse. Gibbs Farm is surrounded by intimate cluster of cottages, vast coffee fields, 10 acre vegetable and fruit garden and a pig farm.

Gibbs Farm has a total of 22 rooms, with 14 newly refurbished farm cottages. The cottages feature rich wooden floors and classic interiors, with panoramic wraparound windows. From the private verandah, the gardens, vegetable farm and Ngorongoro Forest can be viewed. En suite garden bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor showers and a generous bathtub to soak in after a safari.

Reservations that are canceled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers are subject to cancellation and no show fees.

CHECK IN TIME / CHECK OUT TIME
Check in time at hotels is 1100hrs.
Early check in will be charged at extra night.
Late arrivals should be advised in advance to avoid auto cancellation of the reservation.
In case check in is delayed than the expected arrival date, the delay will be treated as no show.
Check out time is at 1000hrs.
Day room use can be arranged at extra fee and is applicable from 1000hrs to 1800hrs.
Room use after 1800hrs will be charged at full night rate.
