Elsa’s Kopje is a hidden jewel in the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park; Kenya’s best kept secret.
The lodge is named after Elsa the lioness, made famous by George and Joy Adamson’s biographical film ’Born Free’. Elsa’s Kopje is almost invisible to the eye as you approach it’s home on Mughwango Hill.
It blends into the rocky crags of the ’kopje’, built very near to the site of George Adamson’s original campsite. The word Kopje means "Small Hill" or "Monadnock".

Elsa Kopje boasts 9 stone and thatch guest cottages, crafted around the natural features of the hill.

Every cottage is uniquely designed. The generous double or twin beds are romantically swathed in netting.

Check in time at hotels is 1100hrs.
Early check in will be charged at extra night.
Late arrivals should be advised in advance to avoid auto cancellation of the reservation.
In case check in is delayed than the expected arrival date, the delay will be treated as no show.
Check out time is at 1000hrs.
Day room use can be arranged at extra fee and is applicable from 1000hrs to 1800hrs.
