What Our Past Clients Are Saying: "I will tell all my friends and family about your company. I was initially a little worried about dealing with a travel agency directly in Africa, but now I know that Africa Point is very professional and a reputable company. This trip was for my husband's 50th birthday, and we had a trip of a lifetime, thanks to Africa Point."

Amboseli Porini Camp - Details and Booking
Category:
Camps
Location:
Selenkay Conservancy
Description:
Amboseli Porini Camp is located in the Selenkay Conservation Area, a 15,000-acre private game reserve within a vast tract of land owned by the Kisonko clan of the Maasai people. The Conservancy borders the Amboseli National Park on the North.
Accommodation at Amboseli Porini Camp is in nine spacious tents that nestle among shady Acacia Tortilis trees, in a spot once favored by big game hunters.
The camp’s small size ensures privacy and exclusive service, accommodating a maximum of 18 guests at any one time. There are no permanent structures like bar or restaurant or swimming pool – this is real camping in the bush, but with much more comfortable bathroom arrangements
The tents are large and comfortably furnished, each with a double and a single bed, solar-powered electric lights, and en suite bathroom with safari shower, washbasin and flush toilet.
Meals are taken under the shade of an Acacia tree and after dinner, guests can sit around the campfire and listen to the sounds of the African night.
Apart from the manager and head chef, the camp is staffed entirely by members of the local Maasai community.
