Summary:
This Kenya group safari starts from Nairobi, taking you to four of the most popular destinations in Kenya: Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, and Aberdares. These are among the top national parks and game reserves in Kenya, thus giving you an unrivaled game-watching safari experience, all in one week.

On the first day, you depart from Nairobi to Samburu game reserve, a scenic wildlife haven in the semi-arid Northern Kenya. From Samburu, you will proceed to the Aberdares national park, then to Lake Nakuru, before completing the tour at the world-renowned Masai Mara game reserve.

Some of the animals you will see during the safari include the Big Five: lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant, plus many other plain animals.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
You leave Nairobi at 0700hrs in the morning, to arrive at Samburu Simba Lodge in time for lunch at around 1400Hrs. Along the way, you will get to enjoy Kenya’s scenic beauty, as well as see plenty of wildlife once you arrive at the Samburu game reserve. After lunch, you will have an hour plus a few minutes free time before going for an afternoon game drive from 1530Hrs to dusk.

Samburu National Reserve is a game watching paradise. All the African big cats - lion, cheetah, and leopard -are present here. There are also several elephants and buffaloes, plus many wild animals that are found nowhere else in Kenya, e.g Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and gerenuk.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve
0630 hrs: Early morning game drive
0830 hrs: Return to the lodge for breakfast, then spend the mid morning hours at you leisure.
1600 hrs: Go for an evening game drive till dusk.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve to Aberdares National Park
You checkout from the Samburu Simba lodge after breakfast, to depart for the Aberdares national park. You will have lunch enroute, at the Outspan hotel in Nyeri, at arounfd 1230 hrs. Later in the afternoon, we will transfer you to the Treetops Lodge in the Aberdares.

Compared to other Kenyan game reserves, the Aberdares National park is very unique in its diverse topography, flora and fauna. Icy rivers transverse the park, whose other scenic sites include spectacular waterfalls and the rain forest. Plenty of animals reside in the park, among them leopards, buffaloes, elephants, serval cats, and the rare bongo. The waterholes at the Treetops lodge are some of the best spots for observing the animals.

Day 4: Aberdares National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park
You check out from Treetops lodge after breakfast, with a brief stop at the Outspan hotel, before departing for Lake Nakuru National park. You will arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is most renowned for its flamingos and other water birds. There are more than 400 species of birds found in this Kenya game reserve. From a distance Lake Nakuru appears like a pink carpet, because of the flamingos covering the lake surface. Besides the birds, Lake Nakuru National park is reputed as an important sanctuary for endangered animal species, especially the rhinos (both black and white) and rothschild giraffes. Other animals resident in the park include lions, leopards, water buck, warthogs, buffaloes and baboons.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve
0730 hrs: (After breakfast) Depart for the Masai Mara through the Great Rift Valley.
1230 hrs: Lunch at at the Mara Sopa Lodge.
1530 hrs: Afternoon game drive till dusk.

It is not by accident that the Mara is Kenya’s most popular wildlife destination. The reserve is home to over 450 species of African wild animals. All the "big five" are present here, plus hundreds of other plain animals: hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, etc. The annual wildebeest migration between the Mara and Serengeti national park has been dubbed the most spectacular event of the natural world, and is what Masai Mara is most famous for.

Day 6: Masai Mara
0630 Hrs: Early morning game drive in the Mara. Thereafter late breakfast and relax at leisure. After lunch at the lodge you will have early afternoon at leisure.
1600 hrs - Afternoon game drive till dusk.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi
0600 hrs: Take an optional hot air balloon ride over the Mara (at an extra cost). If you can spare the money, watching wildlife and the Mara plains afloat a balloon is an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving around mid day and drop off at Nairobi hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
