Highlights of Egypt Group Safari

Summary:
Egypt has been known as the cradle of civilization for centuries. It is famous for the ancient monuments such as the Giza Pyramid Complex and its Great Sphinx. This Group tour highlights Cairo, Luxor, Kom Ombo and Aswan where you will experience the unsurpassed delights of Ancient Egypt. On the second day will visit the Pyramids of Giza- one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, then proceed to Luxor on the third and fourth day. Here you will visit the valley of kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Karnak which covers a huge area and includes several temples. On the fifth day you will proceed onwards to Aswan where you will tour the Edfu and Kom ombo temple of the Crocodile God Sobek. Thereafter visit the Aswan High Dam and Unfinished Obelisk, then take the Sleeper train back to Cairo where you will visit a number of destinations including the Egyptian Museum.

Itinerary:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL
On arrival at Cairo Airport you will be met by Africa point Representative who will assist you at the airport and transferred in a private coach to a 4 star hotel in Cairo. Spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the hotel facilities.

DAY 2: GIZA PYRAMIDS
After Breakfast depart for the Giza pyramids where you will visit the three Great Pyramids (Cheops, Chefren and Macarinos). Enter one of the Queens Pyramids and later visit the Panorama to see the 3 Pyramids from far and take memorable pictures. You will also visit the Valley Temple, the Great Sphinx which has kept its secrets for centuries and enjoy camel ride at the Pyramids area at a complimentary. After lunch take a first class sleeper train to Luxor.

DAY 3: LUXOR WEST BANK
Breakfast will be served on board of your train. On arrival at Luxor, you will be met and assisted by Africa Point representative, later proceed to the Valley of kings where your ticket allows you to visit one of the three tombs. Our tour guide will assist you select one of the best tomb. Later use a donkey to Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

Luxor is the highlight of the tour. The range, magnificence and diversity of the monuments in the Luxor area is unsurpassed in all of Egypt. The Valley of Kings is where the rulers of the period historians refer to as the New Kingdom period (BC 1550-1070) awaited the afterlife. Over 60 tombs have so far been excavated in the valley. Among the best tombs to visit are those of Ramses I, Tuthmosis III and Ramses VI. Tutankhamun’s is the most famous today.

On the other side of the Valley of Kings is the Temple of Deir el-Bahri, built by Queen Hatshepsut. The temple is very impressive from a distance and is a great place to take photos. Take more photos at the Colossi of Memnon -two huge statues that are the sole legacy of the temple of Amenhotep III.

DAY 4: LUXOR EAST BANK
After breakfast,the tour will start at the East Bank. You will start by taking a walk to Luxor Temple. Thereafter visit Karnak which covers a huge area and includes several temples, the largest being the temple of Amon and later transfer to have an Egyptian oriental Lunch.

DAY 5: KOM OMBO – EDFU

After an early morning breakfast depart to Aswan with two stops at Edfu and Kom ombo temples. Visit Kom ombo Temple of the Crocodile God Sobek and the Falcon God Horus Edfu Temple.

DAY 6: ASWAN
After Breakfast at your Hotel, you will start the day by touring the Aswan High Dam and Unfinished Obelisk, then take a motor to Philae Temple ( the Temple of Love for Goddess Isis) Later take the Sleeper train back to Cairo where you will have Dinner on board.

Day 7: CAIRO
Breakfast will be served on board Sleeper Train , on arrival at Cairo you will be assisted by Africa Point representative at the station to start your lovely tour. On this day you will visit a number of destinations Stating with the Egyptian Museum which contains over 120000 pieces. Later visit the Brilliant collection of Tutankhamon before having an oriental Lunch. After lunch you will visit the following places : Islamic Cairo, the Mohamed Ali Mosque and The Green mosque, Coptic Cairo home of some of the oldest Christian Churches, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Holy Crypt. Walk where Virgin Mary and Jesus walked thousands of years ago. Later in the day Visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar (The biggest open air Bazaar in the Middle East)

After the visits you will be transferred to your Hotel for overnight. [ Meals Included on this day: Breakfast and Lunch]

Day 8: DEPARTURE
After break fast you will be Transferred to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight back home or to a hotel.
