5th MIM Pan-African Malaria Conference Information
The
organizing committee of the 5th MIM Pan-African Malaria Conference
appointed Africa Point to provide the hotel booking and related
services for the meeting. This was a high profile international meeting
that an estimated 2000 delegates – scientists, donors, and policy
makers- were expected to attend.
Africa Point was briefed to:
1.
Negotiate discounted rates with the accommodation providers. The rates
would be applicable for delegates who book and pay in advance to Africa
Point ahead of the conference start date. Only bookings paid for would
be treated as confirmed bookings.
2. Provide an online booking
and payment system at our website (www.africapoint.com). Delegates were
given the option of paying by either using a major credit card (Visa,
Mastercard, JCB, and American Express) or by telegraphic transfer.
3. Develop appropriate pre- and post-conference tour packages and excursions and avail them for online booking at our website.
4.
Provide weekly updates to Africa Malaria Network Trust on the status of
bookings. Africa Point was also mandated to provide daily updates if
requested and if circumstances allow.
5. Provide a 24 hour telephone help line for all delegates booked by us for assistance related to the bookings.
